Planica - 20.03.11

The weather went crazy today and did not offer us a good show as the season ended. Things went slowly, many breaks between jumps, and although only 31 jumpers were singed up for today, the first round took more than one hour and the second round was cancelled.

As it is always in difficult weather conditions, the podium was a bit unexpected. Kamil Stoch (POL) finished first with 217.3 points and a 215.5 m jump. He was followed by Robert Kranjec (SLO) with 215.0 points and 224.5 m jump. Third place was occupied by the amazing Adam Malysz (POL) with 203.6 points and 215.0 m jump. With this result and due to the fact that Andreas Kofler (AUT) finished 23rd today, Malysz secured his third place in the World Cup and ending his career in great shape and with great results.

As someone else said it well, it is the end of an era, Actually this year marks the end of several eras but there are many ski-jumping-less months ahead to think about that.
