Klingenthal - Vogtland Arena

The K 125 HS 140 hill in Kligenthal is the most modern in the World Cup. Built between 2003 and 2005, it hosted its first Nordic Combined event in 2006 and its first ski jumping event in 2007, when the competition in Harrachov was canceled and moved here. Al though it lacks the particular charm of the old venues, full of history, it compensates with its elegance and it is very user-friendly. The arena’s official website is very useful, and there is also some technical data about the ski jump parameters, which I always find fascinating.

The hill record was set today, 01.02.2011, by Simon Ammann in the qualification round by jumping 145.0 m.
